At Your First Visit, The Orthodontic Consultation
- Your orthodontic consultation is complementary. That is right, it is FREE! Photos and X-rays will be taken and you will be provided copies to take home at no charge.
- First and foremost, Dr. Adams will conduct a thorough examination. Dr. Adams must make certain that you are in a state of good oral and overall health before orthodontic treatment may commence. Not ensuring good oral and overall health prior to orthodontic treatment can lead to negative consequences to patients and Dr. Adams will not let that happen.
- Then, Dr. Adams will present his findings and discuss treatment options, the time frame needed to achieve an excellent result, and when to start treatment, all in great detail. Dr. Adams wants to make certain that you truly understand what the treatment needs are, how he is going to fix things, and answer any questions you may have regarding the treatment plan. Dr. Adams purposefully takes a lot of time and makes extra effort to make sure that you truly understand your individual treatment. Open, honest, and constant communication is what you will experience, putting you at ease and making you feel right at home.
- If younger patients are not quite ready for treatment, Dr. Adams will place them on “Recall” and they will be seen every six months until they are ready. More mature patients with dental hygiene or restorative needs will need to have these issues addressed first before seeking orthodontic care. Generally speaking, orthodontic treatment should not start until all the permanent teeth have erupted. Starting treatment too early is not in patients’ best interests and only increases the overall treatment time while waiting for permanent teeth to erupt, burning out patients and resulting in poor results and even negative dental health issues, including gum disease and cavities.
- Orthodontic treatment fee and payment options will be presented, as well as the review of any insurance coverage. Dr. Adams wants to make treatment as affordable as possible. Please note, Dr. Adams has not raised his fees in years and he will NOT raise them now or in the near future, period. Furthermore, treatment is made more affordable with interest free in-house financing, low down payments, and multiple discount options.
- If you are ready to start treatment, you will be scheduled for an appointment to place your braces or perform a scan that is convenient for you, or you may even be able to start that same day if availability exists.
- Now let’s put a BIG BEAUTIFUL SMILE ON THAT FACE!! YES!!
